ZNE Theme Week

Well, I finally got some listing up on eBay again. I haven't listed since before I moved to Kansas. So that makes just over 2 months since my last listing. I got these pieces ready for ZNE theme week, days in advance. A miracle for me, since I usually work till the last minute. But I still didn't manage to get the listings up in time to qualify for theme week anyway. Oh well! I got so used to living in CA and thus I lived on ebay time. I was thinking I was 3 hours ahead of ebay time, but it turns out I was only 2 hours ahead. And I also spent time trying to redo my auction template a bit, which also made me late in posting these auctions.

So here's the first piece I worked on. It's called "An Asian Autumn" and mesures 4 1/2" x 5 1/2". It's the first collage I've ever done on canvas. I have to admit I really like doing my collage work on canvas. I made it using Kanji images from an image collection I bought, mulberry papers, punched out foil shapes and walnut inks.

I made the collage go around the edges so that this piece is ready to hung, by whomever buys it.

Here's the second piece I worked on. It's called "Shades of Autumn" and mesures 5" x 7". It's also done on canvas. I made it mulberry papers, punched out foil shapes, a metal charm and walnut inks.

I'm really hoping these auctions go well for me. They're really kinda different for me. Especially since I did them on canvas. I guess I should also mention that I'm known by fellow ZNE'rs as Krissy, so I'm gonna sign this post with the little avatar I created to use over at the ZNE website.

Isn't it cute?! I think so! But I am a bit partial since I made it in Paint Shop Pro.

A little bit about me....

I'm a Creative Memories Consultant and artist. I love shopping on eBay. I’ve bought everything from art, to cameras, shoes, clothes, and Italian charms on eBay. And even more than spending time shopping I also like to spend time in the ebay groups I belong to. I hope that you take the time to look at my online auctions! Just some personal things about me: I’m a full time stay at home Mom and a part time Creative Memories consultant and artist, and crafter, etc., etc. In my spare time I love to read (mostly historical fiction, but I do enjoy mysteries and other great fiction), watch movies and TV, spending time with my hubby and kids, and dancing. I majored in dance in college (but I never did get to finish….as I had kids and moved a LOT) and while there learned everything from ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, tap and ballet folklorico. Tap dancing is my favorite form of dance. Although I love watching all KINDS of dance! Ofcourse in part of my spare time I like to do arts and crafts which include: scrapbooking, crocheting, knitting, drawing, and making my works of art.
